Cacik (pronounced Jajik) is a traditional Turkish dish - it's Salted Garlic Yogurt (like Tzatziki) that you can serve with a variety of vegetable dishes - usually cold - but we like this one served warm.
This variety is a great way to enjoy spinach. We eat this as a main dish but you can serve it as a side. Tradionally you would eat it with Pita bread, but if you're dieting (like me) you really don't have to. Also, for a gluten free alternative, you can substitute quinoa for the bulgur.
Even my 5 yr old loves it!

A healthy and filling middle eastern dip! Eat it as an appetizer or snack with some pita. Why buy your hummus ready made from the store, when you can make it yourself?

Greek carp roe dip. Sounds odd but is absolutely delicious. Tarama ( carp roe) can be found in greek or speciality stores

A wonderful savory alternative to regular salsa. You can leave out the avocado if you like, but it's really and truly not noticable in this recipe - my avocado-phobic husband and daughter never even noticed and they absolutely love this salsa! I love to add it to grilled chicken & onions for an excellent Pollo Verde. It's also great in rice, on chips, anything you can think of!
