I tend to prefer whole or homemade foods, and could not find an equivelant recipes for "store bought" granola bars. After some experimenting, and calorie crunching I came up with this little dity. Enjoy!

I like the recipe because I change it depending on what nuts or dried fruit I have on hand. I have decreased the sweetness over time by reducing the brown sugar for my families taste but originally I started with 1/4 cup brown sugar.

A friend at work gave me the recipe for this. SO yummy! (I edited her recipe a little to lower the fat a bit.)

If you have a grocery store with a bulk spice/grains section, it's a fantastic place to buy the dry ingredients at a fraction of the cost of the packaged ones.
