i made my own applesauce for this in my blender with the peel. I couldn't find it in the search so I used the next best thing, but I'm sure it would make a difference. I also sprinkle in some bran for added "kick" lol

Gets it's kick from Italian dressing, slightly sweet if you use the low-fat mayo. Additions are welcome: Water chestnuts, blanched almonds, chopped pecans, apples. Copied from my mom's recipe card. Shhhh! Don't tell her.

This is a recipe that's been inspired from a Cooking Light recipe and modified. (The first time I made it, I accidentally used way too much butter, so I had to double the recipe), plus, I made a few substitutions to the ingredients to make it even slightly better for you. This makes 20 rather large brownies, so feel free to cut them smaller to lower the calories.

To use in place of canned cream soups in casseroles or as a base for
your own soups. It is much lower in fat and salt than the canned versions. The trick is to have it made up ready to use.
*Note* For my bouillon cubes, 1/2 cube = 1 tsp. bouillon granules. 12 tsp. =1/4 cup
