Spring Rolls
Very Good 4.3/5

This recipe is really easy; it's really more of a process than a recipe. Rice paper wrappers, which are available in the ethnic sections of most larger supermarkets these days, are a great way to wrap your veggies and protein for a quick snack or light lunch.

Restaurant-style hot and sour soup, minus the sugar, corn starch and MSG. You can add whatever other vegetables you like (hot and sour soup usually has mushrooms but I don't like them). I usually add bean sprouts and brown rice and serve it as a complete meal.

Light, delicious summer appetizer or salad with the unmistakable flavor of Thai cooking. Can also be garnished with Thai noodles or chopped peanuts, if you have calories to spare.

If spring roll wrappers are used, yield will also be 8, but add 90 calories per serving.

Baked Chicken Egg Rolls: Un-Chained Recipe Contest
Very Good 4.4/5

One of my biggest fast-food temptations are greasy fried egg rolls from places like Panda Express. I made over this healthy version using lean chicken and fresh vegetables. Baking the egg rolls instead of frying them saves even more calories and these don't disappoint! They're flavor packed and I can make them often without feeling guilty. I serve them at parties, or for dinner with a side of brown rice. (Un-Chained Recipe Contest Entry- Fast Food Category)

This is my favorite "go to" recipe! I got it when I was going to Weight Watchers, then I fine-tuned it to how I like it. Now it tastes just like you'd get in a restaurant! Be sure to measure the rice and chicken because it's tempting to "overdo it"!

General Tso's is a BIG no no when it comes to Chinese food..... but I love it so. I found the sauce in the ethnic aisle and am hooked. When you cook it at home, the calories and fat are cut by almost 3/4! Add any veggies you like. Keep or omit the spaghetti(lo mein). Iron Chef also makes a great General Tso's sauce, but Trader Joe's(trader mings) is about $1 cheaper.
This is the easiest meal for the family- 20 minutes max for prep and cook- and most of that time is to simmer away.

Cabbage is a good source of Vitamins A & c, and fiber. It helps to prevent cancer and is low in calories. Cabbage tastes best and is most nutritious when eaten raw or cooked for a short period of time in a small amount of water.
