I found this in the 1/11 issue of the magazine, but the recipe is on line at the Southern Living site under Jan. '11 recipes. I modified it by using fat free chicken broth, added frozen sliced okra, left out the blackeyed peas, used turkey kielbasa instead of the andouille sausage and served over brown rice. Step aside, Manwich! You've got nothing on these babies! *I typically use brown sugar instead of regular sugar, and I buy as lean of beef as I can find. My fiance won't eat anyone else's Sloppy Joes after he tried these!
