Cookbook creator says: Reduce water by 1 cup. Use Steel Cut Oats (never "quick" or instant oatmeal). Try Agave syrup for sweetness, to taste (healthier than brown sugar) OR Grade B Maple Syrup (healthy sweetener . . . contains natural minerals). I like to add chopped walnuts or sprinkle dry natural coconut on top.
