This frozen yogurt is better than the premium stuff you buy at the store-and much less expensive. A little time consuming, but really easy to make, this frozen yogurt treat is delicious and perfect for those special occasions.

You can make this a lower-fat version by using low-fat or fat-free yogurt and low-fat evaporated milk. I wouldn't recommend it because it affects the texture.

I am South African by birth and grew up in SA. We always had Malva pudding for desert. It is a yummy, but very sweet pudding.

In this recipe I have halved the sugar and cut down on the butter, hopefully without losing the taste. It makes 12 portions; however, you can divide it into smaller / bigger portions and calculate the calories in the serving by dividing the total amount of calories (1782) with your amount of servings.
