This is the only teriyaki marinade that I have ever needed. My mom taught this to me when I was very young. It works well with any type of meat, including seafood. It also works well as the basis for a stir-fry sauce

Simple and straight forward, this recipe could be made the day ahead of time, the morning of to save the marinade time. I make two pounds at once, marinade over night, and freeze off in portion sizes the next day while i skewer my kabob for dinner. That way, all you have to do is pull it out the night before and skewer it the next day just before grilling or baking.

This is a really good marinade for pork, chicken or steak. Make sure to use the low sodium "lite" soy sauce to lower the sodium content. Track your meat separately.
