Good morning, sunshine. Imagine a warm little bit of sweet carby goodness to wake you up? You've missed it, admit it. With only 91 calories each you'll be fine. Try it, you'll like it.

The variations are limitless! I always add the zest of whatever citrus fruit is handy, you can use frozen or fresh cranberries, any berries, really. Just keep that 1 1/2 cup proportion!

I freeze them so I can take one out every night and it's ready to grill for breakfast without an easy chance for a muffin binge.

I'm not going to lie: these taste a little like health food. Because they are made with beets. You could probably cut back on them and increase the water (or omit them altogether), but that's where most of the vitamins come from. If you are sensitive about things that "taste healthy," these probably aren't for you. Otherwise, the beet taste is subtle, and they're very rich, moist, and chocolate-y. An incredibly nutritious and guilt-free way to satisfy that sweet tooth.

** These have even more vitamins than the nutrition indicates because spark people doesn't account for all the vitamins and minerals in whole wheat flour!!**

removed some of the butter and all eggs. replaced with applesauce and bananas. took out a 1/4 cup of sugar as well! next time going to dble the batch and pour onto a cookie sheet and cut into 48 pieces freezing half of them. i love frozen treats and the kiddos never think to look in the freezer for cookies, brownies and muffins =)

I'ts very easy to make that recipe.All you have to do is to mix all the ingredients together till they homogenize.After you mix them,put the creme into small bowls and then in the refrigerator for a couple of hours.Chop the strawberries on the top and then...ENJOY!!!
