Cookbook creator says: I used 1 1/2 cup milk with several Tbsp. cornstarch and added the other ingredients in lesser amounts, did small can mushrooms in little food processor, then added this thicker soup to a can of kids' organic mushroom soup which is quite thin. Worked well.
