Incredible Smoothies by Tracy Russell. "Here is a light, frothy smoothie to refresh you on a hot summer afternoon. I love this drink because it tastes great and is an excellent source of calcium.
Pineapples are extremely good for you, they have anti-inflammatory properties and they help with digestion. They contain an enzyme, bromelain, which helps break down protein.
Oranges are a great source of vitamin C and have been shown to lower high blood pressure and cholesterol as well as having anti-inflammatory properties. Together they make a super nutritious smoothie!
This recipe makes approximately 32 ounces."

Incredible Smoothies by Tracy Russell. "This delicious smoothie creation was sent to me by Chrissy. It’s green, it’s sweet and it’s got a heaping dose of minerals for you!
This smoothie makes about 12 ounces (depending on the size of the mango and cucumber you use) and it has a delicious tropical fusion flavor. The pineapple and mango blend nicely with the cucumber and spinach for a refreshing health drink.
Cucumber contains erepsin, an enzyme that helps to digest protein. Their skin is also very high in minerals and they make a great low calorie addition to your smoothie.
Mangoes are a great source of fiber. This smoothie contains about 25% of your daily recommend value!"

Last summer I spent an inordinate amount of time and money in Jamba Juice. A retailer that creates blended drinks from fresh and frozen fruit and juices, Jamba Juice's smoothies are simply delicious. But at about $3.50 for a 16-oz size, they're a tad pricey for a more than once a week fix. At least for someone on a tight budget.

So I decided to look up the ingredients of my favorite all-fruit smoothie, Peach Perfection, and make one for myself. I found their ingredients to be startlingly simple and their smoothies incredibly easy to make!

Here's my favorite recipe, one that I revise each season for what fruit's in season and what frozen fruit I have stocked in the freezer.

This is gelatine (like Jello) made from scratch with grape juice. It's intended for the introductory stage of the Specific Carbohydrate Diet, which can be effective in treating Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Crohn's Disease, Ulcerative Colitis, and Autism. It also happens to be a yummy Jello alternative that is all natural and does not have any corn syrup or sugar.

Incredible Smoothies by Tracy Russell. "I hope you’re hungry because this mega meal-replacement smoothie recipe will fill you up and keep you energized until lunch. It’s got a lot in it and provides plenty of calories, protein, fiber, vitamins and minerals to be breakfast, lunch or dinner!
The banana, mango and blueberries blend nicely and none of them over-power each other. They effectively mask the celery and spinach. You could use a more potent green than spinach if you wanted to boost the calcium and iron content. Try kale or dandelion.
This smoothie even has rolled oats, which help give it a creamy texture. Soaked chia seeds (you can also use flax) provides a dose of health-supporting omega-3 fats.
This smoothie has 12 grams of protein (add a scoop of your favorite powder to double it) and 72% of your daily recommended value of fiber. It is a large smoothie so if you are not used to drinking this much at one time, you can either halve the recipe or drink half for breakfast the rest at lunch."
