This recipe can be made healthier with egg beaters, cooking spray instead of butter, etc. I used these ingredients because I like a richer product and the calories for two is still pretty reasonable. Perfect breakfast, make a batch on Sunday and have breakfast for the rest of the week! My husband loves um. You can also omit the sausage for a vegetarian option.

The toasted oats add a deep nutty flavor. Just a touch of syrup and these are perfect.

Toast 4 1/2 cups of rolled oats to process into 1 1/2 cups of oatmeal flour. I do a entire container of oats at a time and use the flour in place of white flour in many recipes.
