Grandma a similiar bread when she made all of her other bread. It was delicious hot of the oven with butter and honey on it. I have made it my own recipe by changing some of the ingredients to healthier ingredents. She used half white and half wheat flour. Mine is 100% Wheat and I prefer to grind my own wheat flour but you can just use whole wheat flour.

These biscuits are delicious as part of a quick breakfast sandwich or as a side with dinner! Feel free to substitute any cheese or spices you would like, these are pretty much a blank canvas that can be modified in any number of ways.
Some ideas:
- Mix in green chiles and pepper jack cheese
- Mix in cranberries and mozzarella
- Mix in cinnamon and pumpkin pie spice (no cheese)

Recipe calls for white flour but I used whole wheat. Came out pretty tasty. Can use orange juice or apple juice instead of milk if you want something different.

Challah (Jewish egg bread) isn't exactly a low-calorie food, but this version is still sweet and rich with fewer calories, and can be easily portion controlled. Enjoy!
