Grissini are easy to flavor: Add 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh rosemary to the dough. Or add freshly cracked black pepper, thyme, caraway or other spices or herbs. Or sprinkle the grissini with sea salt or other specialty salt just before baking.

I modified a terrific Crunchy Oven Fried Tilapia recipe that I had found from AllRecipes for the HCG diet. The Grassini coating on the fish has a great crunchy texture and the sambal olek wet rub gives it a surprise kick.

This is a great salad for on the go people during phase 1 of the protocol. You can make it ahead of time and it will wilt.

Two weeks into the diet, I started craving something starchy so I started experimenting with radishes. Radish has the texture similar to jicama. Although this dish only uses 5-6 radishes, it is very filling, and curbs the craving for a "potato'ey" texture and taste, while being extremely low in carbs.
