Lemon-Dill-Dijon Brussels Sprouts

Went looking for Brussels sprouts recipes to make for hubby for our anniversary. This combines a couple different ones. It was very good - our original 4 serving designation didn't hold - we ate them all between the two of us!Submitted by LEAKAY59

I went looking for a fairly mild recipe for an upset tummy day. This looked pretty safe, except maybe for the red pepper flakes and a whole onion, so I decided to give it a try.Submitted by LEAKAY59

We love this soup! But we make it without putting any salt in it, so I wanted to recalculate the recipe to show the difference.Submitted by LEAKAY59

this is sctaylor's recipe from the love to cook team. Hope you don't mind me plugging it in, sc. 8 servings is exactly right for this recipe. We have a 6.5 quart round crockpot, so cut it pie-shaped. I agree with the person who said the added salt was unnecessary, so I'm removing it. It is very good without it. Using no-salt added tomato products, I hope, will cut the sodium even more - I'll amend again next time I try it!Submitted by LEAKAY59

My throat kept getting scratchier all day, and a coworker was downing her canned chicken noodle soup for lunch today for HER cold, but DH and I are trying to get a grip on sodium, and we love our veggies, so this is my recipe. Submitted by LEAKAY59

Hubby is of German extraction and I don't cook this for him often enough, but here it is, not the lowest cal recipe on the block but very good nonetheless! I use a specialty store Hungarian paprika, but the regular stuff will work too.Submitted by LEAKAY59

The original recipe of this looked good, but by the time I was done with it, it seems to be enough of a different animal to repost. I would prefer to make it with fresh mushrooms, but I didn't have any. That will cut some of the sodium.Submitted by LEAKAY59

Horrors! I only had 350 calories for dinner, and nothing in the house that fit without work. So I worked! This came out pretty good. The original idea was to wrap it in lettuce leaves, but turns out what I thought was lettuce in a produce bag in the fridge, was actually green onions. So I just ate the salad. Game hens are on sale this week, and I ALWAYS crock on Sundays, but sparkpeople didn't have any crockpot recipes for hens. I got this one from the crockpot lady (crockpot365.blogspot.com) who, I'm sure, won't mind me sparking it for values. YummY!Submitted by LEAKAY59

Basic Dill Chicken Salad

All the basic recipes I looked at call for sweet relish, which I'm not overly fond of. I prefer it with dill. Obviously it would be lightened up with light or fat-free salad dressing, but even as it is, it's pretty good for the calorie price.Submitted by LEAKAY59

I adapted this from a slow cooker cookbook, to lighten it up and try to lower the sodium. The recipe calculator only offered one listing for the asparagus soup, but I'm trying to find a lower-sodium one to use. It also only listed it as prepared and it's not, so I don't know if that would change the calories at all.Submitted by LEAKAY59
