In my version of lasagna I've substituted Chicken sausage, which is lower in fat and calories, for the Italian sausage. Really yummy! I buy this sausage at Sam's club. You may also be able to find at your local butcher/meat dept.

You can cook the sauce as long as you like to distribute the seasonings and flavor. But my family usually can't wait for me to cook it down all day, so my version has less water and cooks up fast! If you choose to cook your sauce longer, you may need to add additional water.

The original recipe for this was about 478 calories!! I just let you have desert!

We call any cassorole type meal "glunk" in our house. The kids hated it growning up, so my husband thought it only appropriate to give it a delicious name as well.

Now I generally make this because it's fast and easy, except I rarely use left overs.
