The surprise? Pureed butternut squash. This lighter version of mac n cheese uses less flour and butter and substitutes half the milk for chicken stock. Still extremely creamy and flavorful. For a complete meal try adding chicken or tuna and whatever veggies you have on hand.

This is a lower calorie egg salad because it takes out the mayo. I find that the dill gives it that added flavor. I either eat it as a sandwich, or cut it in half and eat it open faced on half a slice of bread for a snack.

This is one of my family's very favorite dinners. One of the best things about this recipe is how easy it is to adjust to your own tastes. I entered it in with my true ingredients, which are SPICY! If you don't like it super spicy, adjust your ratio of Sweet Thai chili sauce (found in the grocery store asian food section) and the spicy Sambal Oelek (found in the same section). Try 1/4 cup of sambal oelek and 3/4 cup sweet chili sauce. Also very good with skinless chicken thighs, trimmed. I just ordered PB2 and am looking forward to trying it with this recipe, to cut the fat back even further!

Obviously mayo is made from eggs and oil. Also, I use Hellman's (Best Foods) Light Mayo but it is still pretty healthy with regular. Moistest cake ever though. The family loves it. For real decadence frost with Sander's Frosting. YUM!

This is a combo of my Chicken Pot Pie filling and my mother in-law's Biscuit Style Crust. They go together fabulously. This is awesome with a double crust, but if you are watching your fat intake, it is also yummy with just a top crust. Also, the homemade gravy is wonderful, but if you have leftover gravy or prefer to use canned or jarred, this is even easier. Enjoy!

Grandma a similiar bread when she made all of her other bread. It was delicious hot of the oven with butter and honey on it. I have made it my own recipe by changing some of the ingredients to healthier ingredents. She used half white and half wheat flour. Mine is 100% Wheat and I prefer to grind my own wheat flour but you can just use whole wheat flour.

I agree with the person who said the added salt was unnecessary, so I'm removing it. It is very good without it.
