Bread, Wholemeal Granary Bread 75% Wholemeal
A wholemeal granary style bread with malted wheat flakes, Rye Flakes and Linseed, makes the perfect accompaniment to cheese and ham for your lunchtime sandwich.
Granary bread is bread made using flaked malted wheat grains malt, trademarked to Hovis; it is made from white or brown flour. This recipe is my version using wholemeal bread flour and a small amount of white bread flour, with some diastatic malt flour and malted wheat flakes.
Most of the baking we now do is for bread either the conventional way or by means of a bread machine I use the bread machine more now even for bread dough just to mix and prove the dough as I do have a problem with my hands and I canít knead the dough as I used to.
We developed all our bread machine recipes for the Panasonic SD-257/SD-256 though every one of our machine recipes are easily modified for other machines; all machines on the market today have a dough or manual cycle, this cycle is one of the most important cycles your machine has, it is what makes the bread machine so helpful. Using the dough or manual cycle and your favourite bread recipes you can make sandwich rolls, dinner rolls, bagels and much more any recipe you have for yeast risen bread can be done on the dough cycle, shaped, risen and baked for just about a limitless number of baked treasures.Submitted by: ASTROCHEF
