The best carrot cake ever. My mom makes it at Christmas. I only have 1 slice a year and it is worth every single calorie!
I could reduce the fat with low fat mayo or greek yogurt and leave out the egg yolks , which I do but this is the full fat recipe, which I only have occasionally, mostly the lower fat version. I add the eggs for the extra protein.
My mom's Artichokes. They are seasoned so well you don't need to dip them in butter or mayo
I like to make southern style greens and mix different kinds like collard with turnip and mustard. I love the smokiness from a ham hock but have have lightened it up with a smoked turkey leg instead still has that great taste
The best mushroom soup ever. This recipe is from the resturant Old Wives Tale in Portland Oregon and was featured in the Food Network show " The Best thing I ever ate". It is rich and not light on the calories, this is one that is all about moderation and a 1 cup serving is pleanty
Love this Shrimp Cokctail, usually served with crackers, so good and can add more hot sauce to spice it up even more
