Start the evening before for a quick morning breakfast.
This is actually the main course for breakfast.
This is as close to what I think my grandmother made as I can get. She may have used stew beef. Both of my grandmothers and my mother always would have added cabbage. I saw other recipes on Spark with Ham or Bacon. I don't think we had kale when I was a kid, but I added it to get it used up. I used store bought broth with 800 mg of sodium.
