Cousin Jill's Grampa's Beef Stew Recipe

This stew was served in my cousin's grandfather's restaurant many years ago. Easy to make, hearty, and delicious, this recipe is more than worth the very little bit of effort it requires, and it tastes even better as a leftover.

Whole Wheat Pizza Dough

Makes one 14-inch pizza crust.

Old-fashioned Chicken and Vegetable Soup

Great with dumplings. A special homemade treat on a chilly day.

Malt-o-Meal Original Magic Muffins

This recipe is on every box of Original Malt-o-Meal and has been enjoyed by at least three generations of my family. What a treat to find out that this treat is pretty healthy!

Pasta L'Arrabiatta

This is a family favorite made with a very special, light version of italian sausage. It makes a great winter holiday season meal.

Luby's (Done Light) Baked White Fish

I love Luby's baked white fish, but, even before starting Spark, I never ate all of the mayonnaise topping. (Thank goodness.) Here is a very slightly modified version, hopefully with all of the flavor.

Chicken Tostada Salad

Adapted from EveryDay Foods.

My family BEGS for this meal, even the kids!

The My Life Is SOOOO Good Salad

You can't help but feel fortunate with this pretty plate in front of you. It makes a great assemble-it-on-your-lunch-break meal.

Ginger-Lime Dressing

From EveryDay foods, minus the jalapeno, plus 1/8 tsp. red pepper flakes.

Really Good French Toast

This is a family favorite, modified from a book called Fifty Ways to Cook Most Everything.by Andrew Schloss and Ken Bookman. I cook up double batches of it so that the kids can pop a slice in the toaster on school mornings. It gives them a hearty start to their day, especially when served with fresh fruit and a glass of skim milk.
