A delicious and easy recipe to prepare the night before, which can be modified to suit your taste preference.
This is comfort food to the max! I won a soup cook-off with this recipe.
You can lower fat and calories by using fat-free half & half and skim milk, as well as low-fat cheddar cheese.
Recipe nutritional values include my own home-made crust. You may use your own recipe or a store bought crust (double).
I use a Cuisinart 1.5 quart ice cream/sorbet maker, which produces a quickly made dessert.
This high protein, low fat smoothie is filling and satisfying. I freeze my bananas and strawberries, which thickens the smoothie and makes it nice and cold. No need to add ice with frozen fruit. Throw in a heaping handful of fresh baby spinach for more nutrients (add about 20 calories).
