I threw this soup together with ingredients I had on hand at the time. It came out very thick with veggies, more like a stew, so you may want to add more broth or water if you prefer it to be more soupy.
My grandpa's favourite.
This is a great recipe for using up garlic scapes. I can best describe it as a garlic potato soup. As with most soups your flavour may vary a bit from time to time depending on how large your garlic scapes are, the size of your potatoes, etc. This soup offers a rich creamy consistency without a drop of dairy added. Some people do prefer to add some milk near the end, and you can do so if you wish. See tips for more options.
This is a nice thick mildly flavoured shake for recovery. The flavour is not particularly strong towards any one ingredient, so you may want to add more of something if you want to really have that flavour come through.
A quick and easy meal. Add any other veggies you want for higher number of vegetable servings. You may need to increase the dressing a bit if you do though.
The sodium is high due to the ingredients listed not being low sodium options and the salmon being canned. You can rinse the salmon to cut back on sodium or cook fresh salmon in advance. Using low sodium options for the soy sauce is also a good alternative.

A fast pantry dinner, serve on pasta or rice or over toast. This is a kid friendly family favourite, but if your children don't like salmon you can sub in tuna, diced ham, or just about any other protein. I sometimes add dill to liven it up a bit.
This is a quick version of pork piccata that I made up last night when I didn't have time to look for my usual recipe. It's very tangy due to the lack of broth to cut the lemon taste. If you like your sauce less tangy, add a small amount of chicken or vegetable broth (and reduce the lemon juice) to sauce before cooking down, and adjust your calories accordingly. Measurements on lemon juice and vinegar are approximate, as I was eyeing it up, rather than measuring, so play with the proportions to get a flavour you like. I personally like it tangy with lots of capers. White wine is normally used in piccata sauce but I used wine vinegar instead, feel free to sub back, but use a larger quantity of wine.
This is a salad my mother used to make. I've left out the sour cream and used light mayo to make it more diet friendly.
This is a great soup, good flavour and so easy
Although there is a small amount of butter in this recipe, it can be substituted with margarine if preferred. However the butter give a nice flavour. The fats in this recipe help make the coating crisp and golden.
This is one of my family's favourite quick and easy pasta sauces.
I don't know where this recipe first came from but it's one my mom has made for years. You could use whole wheat flour and egg subsitute if desired. Use a low fat cream cheese icing with it.
