Recipes I've Shared:
This is a good, healthy, filling stew. It doesn't have a whole lot of carbs (just what is in the beans) so I eat it with some crusty bread and Tabasco sauce.
This is a recipe my mother has been using for years, and I made a few changes of my own.
It's super thick, very hearty and filling, great for long winter nights!
This is a simple dish, very quick, and easy to customize to your tastes.
Serve with a salad and your favorite low fat dressing, or your favorite vegetable.
Check your brand of blackened seasoning for its sodium content! It sneaks in there!
This is a cheap, easy to make soup that is easy to make in bulk. It's a basic recipe, so you can customize it however you like - soy crumbles or ground turkey instead of beef, or add low fat cheddar or sour cream for a little extra flavor.
I serve this with my basic Appalachian cornbread (3 parts yellow corn meal, 1 part white flour, water to mix) for some extra fiber and Tex-Mex taste without the fat of tortilla chips.
