Serve these on hot dog buns for less mess. Goes well with a nice salad or other green veg.
This is a great sauce with a sweet and spicy (but not hot) flavor. The original provided enough for 12 portions but I rarely cook for that large a crowd, so I've cut it down for 4.
My sister gave me a version of this recipe, but I reduced the sesame oil to help it fit into my eating plan. Remember to get the chicken marinating two hours before you make this, so the chicken can really absorb the flavors. This is a great salad for a hot day and no mayo!
Pounding the chops thin helps them cook quickly, so watch they don't overcook on the grill. You can marinate them for as little as 15 minutes if you're short on time, or for the full hour if you can.
In the winter I bake this--it's one way I can get my daughter to eat veggies she otherwise wouldn't--but she loves the "cheesy breadcrumbs."
Portion the leftovers and freeze for another night. Great to have on hand in the freezer. Serve over brown rice or noodles. Pretty low sodium for those who need that.
