I have made this sandwich for years. Brings back memories of making it for my mom.
My son went off to college and returned a true health nut...and he loves cooking interesting recipes. This one tastes like a desert but is loaded with nutrition instead of empty calories.
I've made this several different ways: bulgar wheat with tofu; bulgar wheat with yogurt. It's a delicious main meal for vegetarians, and a fab side as well.

A yummy vegetarian, high protein entree. I made this one day, while trying to use up veggies in the fridge.
My mom used to make this when I came home to visit. She would add ground beef (sautÚd when one of the meat eating family would come). It is so delicious, and the secret is the ketchup! I also add potatoes occasionally, but without is better for weight loss.
I've been looking a lighter recipe for bisquits. Found this recipe on cooks.com. the Cooks.com printout says each bisquit is 60 cal. I.m not sure if you can get 22 bisquits out of this recipe, so I've made it 18 bisquits. I'll update this next time I make 'em, and tell you exactly how many bisquits I got out of this recipe.
I place a couple tablespoons of this mixture on my crepes, roll it up, and top it off with orange sauce

I made this the other day, and added the sugar, but I think it can be made without it, and just Splenda. I put 25 packets in and it's really sweet and really yummy.
