It's fairly nondescript, actually. i halved the original recipe and changed the spices and sugars for what I had on hand. I'm sure you could substitute pumpkin or any other winter squash for the sweet potato if you like... use it as a jumping off point! Of course feel free to eliminate the sugar if you're watching carbs or diabetes.

adjust sweetness to taste. I like it slightly tart, you may want more sweetness. You can substitute agave, honey, or a sugar-free sweetener of your choice as you like.

rice pudding (from leftover rice)

extra rice (white or brown) that is leftover makes a delicious comforting dessert or snack.
