Most of the ingredients in this recipe are alkalizing, with the exception of the chocolate chips, but they should be largely mitigated by the highly alkaline ingredients. 'Soaking' or rehydrating the coconut flour helps reduce the graininess and give a finer textured product. Simply mix the coconut flour with the liquids and let sit for 15 minutes then proceed with the recipe.
This is delicious and only 14 net carbs, no white flour!
Lovely, brothy, soothing, satisfying
A lovely fresh summer veggie mix
Delicious easy, protein rich meal
Fats are important in our diets, you need to consume fat to burn fat. But it should be healthier fats. So I made this to get the needed fat for both a more balanced addition to your bread (I use either 1 slice of toasted Ezekiel 4:9, or a 100-calorie-sandwhich round), and for the lovely smooth and satisfying mouth-feel of traditional egg salad without adding more cholesterol.
I didn't see a recipe anywhere online that would yield the kind of brownies I wanted with the kind of numbers I wanted, so I experimented.
These are made the way I learned how to make gourmet brownies, melting the chocolate & fat and adding the wet, then dry ingredients. The results is a dense, fabulous death by chocolate brownie you & the kids will love. Just don't tell them what's in it!
Average brownies have about 312 calories; 123 fat calories; 31g cholesterol; 47g carbs; 2g fiber; 33g sugars; 3g protein - these nutrition numbers are quite a bit better!
The mix I used has limas, multicolored split peas, multicolored lentils, black eyed peas and no seasoning mix
A three hours to dinner, what do I make kind of meal, healthy, filling recipe. Use any combination of beans you like.
Very quick, easy & delicious lunch, can easily doubled
(edited to reflect proportions for the Metabolic Effect Diet for a mixed burner)
This has become our definitive pancake, delicious, healthy, low carb, low calorie! So good the kids eat them cold out of the fridge!
