I was trying to make a "cleaner" version of cornbread to go w/ our chili dinner and used what I had on hand. I am sure you could reduce the honey and save some calories that way. Since this was my first experiment, this is how I did it. This was the BEST corn bread I have EVER made!
trying to create a tortilla that was low carb and high fiber
been tinkering with some recipes, this one is okay. I used chocolate protein powder, because its what I have and I threw in the raisins because I LOVE chocolate covered raisins.....these would be good for snack, pre-post workout or even dessert, warmed w/ some whipped cream, YUM!
Once you taste this stir-fry, you’ll understand how fast and easy it is to make authentic Thai food in an American kitchen. from THAI KITCHEN RECIPES
I adapted the recipe from the clean eating magazine, substituted the agave for the sucanat (the original calls for 1/3 cup sucanat) These are not overly sweet, but have a great citrus flavor.....
I tinkered with a few recipes to come up with this one, should satisfy that sweet tooth!
I just halved the sugar, replaced the shortening with applesauce, replaced all the white flour with whole wheat and it tastes great! I topped mine before baking with some currants and sunflower seeds, the loaves look like they belong in a bakery window.
I found this while searching for easy, fat free, low cal tortillas..its too easy! and look at the calories, protein and fiber!
I've been tinkering with granola bars for a while now, and this is by far the best. The calorie count is high for a snack, but it works well as a meal replacement for breakfast, say before your work out. It has high protein and fiber and sufficient fat. I think they will be perfect for my hubby and his buddy on their crazy antler shed hunts! I plan on bringing them to the gym for after my workouts.
My friend made this dip years ago, and I've never forgot it. I've served it to unsuspecting anti-tofu friends and they've raved over it.
a good home made pita pocket recipe using you bread machine.
I invented these after trying to get away from the whilte flour in our diet. I have successfully made them with all wheat flour w/o the white.....my family absolutely loves these. They are light and fluffy. This morning I even added some sour-dough starter to the batter in place of the milk...YUM!
let the aroma of this soup waft through your home while you get your daily chores, workouts and routines done!
I was cleaning out the fridge today and figured I'd make a good soup with what was left in the vegie bins. This turned out great!
I created this with what was left over in the cupboards and frisge after cleaning them out. Plus, it will be great and a healthy alternative on Super bowl Sunday!
