Ham and Cheese Broccoli Casserole

This is a new recipe we used with leftover ham. I trimmed all visible fat and added the Durkees Onions...Not one for the lowest calories, but about the same as a Lean Cuisine Entree.

Wholesome Whole Wheat Oatmeal Cookies

We're doing without sugar 6 days per week and this is our larabar alternative. (to save money!)

Ho Ho Cake

This cake is good and since it's done in a cookie sheet it has more pieces than your 9x 13 and thus less WW points!

Salisbury Steak

This is a family favorite! It is lightened a little by using really lean ground beef. (or we use venison)

Banana Nut Bread

Our less "healthy" version of banana bread!

Whole Wheat Banana Bread

Trying to eat wholesome food...this is our step in the right direction!

Lemon Torte

We like this torte with different puddings. Butterscotch in the fall, chocolate in the winter and lemon in the spring or summer!

Quiche Lorraine

This is my lightened version...I use turkey bacon, lowfat or fatfree ham and vary the cheeses. This is the most it will be though, and so good!

Chocolate Banana Cream Cake

This is a special occasion cake but so much lower in calories than the full fat version! It is 10 WW points (old point system) if you cut it into 12 pieces and 7.5 points if you cut it into 16 pieces.

Snickerdoodles

These are a family favorite, just a little crunch and chewy in the middle!

Fried Squash

This is a good way to fix squash that doesn't have all the breading but is still delicious!

Peach Berry Smoothie

Due to gastroparesis some days I need a smoothie to start my day, and here's one of my favorites.

Oatmeal Cookies

These are just good old-fashioned oatmeal cookies. Sometimes I add 1 cup of raisins and that would need to be figured in. (with raisins they are 84 calories each)

No Bake Cherry Cheesecake (light)

These are the ingredients I had on hand. I've seen it made with fat free cream cheese (which I am not a fan of), lowfat graham crackers and with 1% milk. Ours turned out soooo yummy!

Whole Wheat Bread (made with honey)

This is a wonderful whole wheat bread!

Weight Watcher's Honey Wheat Bread

This is the best bread, perfect for sandwiches and makes 3 large loaves! It is 1 point per slice, so we love it for breakfast and meals! I do two loaves of bread and one pan of 12 rolls with this recipe.

Lightened Buster Bar Dessert

This has always been a summer favorite for our family so I decided to try to lighten it a bit!

Mile High Pie

A wonderful frozen summer dessert that is as good as an ice cream pie. It has a crunchy crust and a lovely light top--you've got to try it!

Gooey Butter Cake

This is a lightened version of one of our favorite cakes.

Quick Fudge Frosting for 8 or 9 " square pan

This is a good recipe for a small cake.

Tortilla Pie

Makes a meal plus some! Serve with a salad and you have a quick supper meal!

Oatmeal Cookies (lowered calorie and lowered fat)

Trying to blend good nutrition with lowered calories and fat for our family. Pretty good!

Cheesy Cheddar Potato Soup

This is a family favorite on a cold winter's day!

Fruit Salad

I make these into parfaits but will be doing a little tweaking because the calorie count is just too high!

John's Baked Chicken Nuggets

These are baked and our son John's favorite Friday night supper!

Nutritious Oatmeal Cookies #2

I keep trying to tweak these cookies to be healthier and reduce the sugar! These are the best tasting yet and have the shortening replaced with coconut oil which is so good for the digestive system!

Sourdough Bread #2

This is a very good sourdough bread. The first three ingredients are the ingredients of the regular starter which I have in another recipe.

Brasco Broth

This is my life-saving broth from Dr. Brasco and Jordan Rubin's book Restoring Your Digestive Health. I was down to living on almost liquids from a severe digestive illness and am now enjoying life again. This is my broth (more of a hearty soup) that is a staple now in my life.

Liver and Onions

I use organic liver and organic onions. This is one of my Nourishing Traditions recipes to help me use organ meat at least once a week. Very good!

Sourdough Bread

This makes a nice loaf of sourdough bread!

Nutritious Oatmeal Cookies1

I'm working at getting an oatmeal cookie that is better for me. Eventually I want to remove the brown sugar and replace it with a natural sweetener and remove the shortening. However, this is my first attempt at making them more nutritious.

Granola

This was my aunt's recipe. You can change it around by adding different nuts or fruits but always remember to add fruits after the baking. The changes would alter the calories and nutritional values though!

Tami's Homemade Whole Wheat Pizza

This is a delicious pizza with a homemade crust

Vegetable Soup #2

This is my favorite soup to fill the gaps on hungry days!

Whole Wheat Bread

A moist, whole wheat bread
