Recipes I've Shared:
Throw it together before work, come home to a hearty meal
The spices are approximate. Dry mustard can get hot, so be careful
Made this to go with plain pretzels.
Not mine, but I have no idea where I found it. I made this for a party a while ago. We wanted something other than a dip or cheese for our crackers. It's low sodium!
This recipe is what I make for breakfast a lot. Put the recipe in for my diet.
Made this for July 4th BBQ. Like it better than the old stuff I would make.
You can use 16 oz of coleslaw mix from the grocery store, just add the onions.
Needed a meatless dish one night.
Craving Bacon one day.
Alteration of another recipe found online. Altered for my husband and mine's diets.
If you are lazy, a potato masher that had large holes in it, works great for making the potato cubes.
Made this for Fourth of July 2009
I was craving honey mustard chicken at work one day. We didn't have any honey, but we had MEAD!. Mead is made from honey, so it is very sweet. Also high in Calories, but has a lot of other good stuff in it, so a drink from it every so often is okay.
My first attempt at this recipe, I kept the skin on the chicken. That actually blocked the flavor of the mead getting to the chicken. Defiantly cook this with no skin on the chicken.
I actually had left over bratwurst from the 4th of July. So I made a soup for the next day because we were going to be in and out of the house all day.
The curry powder was a mistake, but turned out OK.
The bratwurst we used was a local shops homemade type. The meat was more finely ground than with the commercial ones. Texture was closer to kielbasa.
The first attempt was a bit bland. Any suggestions for flavor without adding salt?
Trying different flavors to replace the salt in my cooking. This was different and well worth the try.
My husband can't have too much salt. So I made these for a party so he could still have his crackers. My youngest ate almost all of them.
Low sodium, high fiber, filling breakfast
I throw this together the night before, and microwave it in the morning.
Something my husband whipped up for the 4th of July
A little more nutritional punch than just plain oatmeal, Great with skim milk, berries, whatever you want on top.
Just something I threw together
good for a cold day or cooking while at work
Made this up on the fly one night while listening to Korpiklaani's Happy Little Boozer.
Never liked the commerical fat free dressings.
