Recipes I've Shared:
This is quick, easy and delicious! The recipe calls for sprinkling sesame seeds on the chicken at the end. My husband can't eat seeds so I don't add that.
I found this on All Recipes, the recipe was posted there by Kari Farwell
This is a lighter recipe and really delicious. I used non fat yogurt instead of apple sauce.
This recipe is adapted from Healthy Cooking magazine. These are really delicious!! The original recipe had dates and walnuts, I didn't have any so omitted them.
This was similar to one we had at a restaurant. It can be changed up in a number of ways, adding olives would be delish! You can change up the seasoning, dried can be used when fresh are not available. Parsley would be a good addition. You can also add crushed red pepper and that would be good. We top it with parmesan cheese but you can definitely do without that.
I saw this on Giada and I love crisp so went out and got some peaches to make it. It is delicious. I did not use the almonds.
These are a healthier version of french fries but they are still delicious. You can cut down on the oil but they get a bit less crispy. Add whatever spices you like, garlic, chili powder, cumin, rosemary. These potatoes can really be flavorful.
This is a really indulgent dessert, but it is the best lemon pie I have ever had. We first had it at Asphodel plantation/restaurant north of New Orleans, LA and got the cook book so we could make it. I love this pie!!!
I made this from a recipe in a magazine, I would cut down on the cheese next time. It called for frozen creamed spinach, I made that myself but it would be fine with frozen. Use two boxes of spinach.
I don't eat a large portion of this, I find that 3 oz of meat is more than enough to make a filling meal. The men in my family double that.
I saw this on the Barefoot Contessa and it looked so good. If you like Brussel Sprouts you will love this!
I use Vanilla Yogurt instead of mayo to make it a healthier, lighter salad. This was always my favorite salad for Thanksgiving and my mom still makes it for me!
I use 90% lean ground beef for this, you can use 95% too but they get very dry and you will need to find a way to make them moister. Many people mix in water.
We love corn this way, you don't need butter or salt added after it is cooked
This can be altered for taste and as needed. It has the things I like, I change it up often depending on seasoning and whatever I have on hand.
My family loves quiche and they love mexican food. I combined both in this and it was great! This can be varied in a number of ways, I always go with what I have on hand.
Pork roast cooked in the slow cooker and then shredded to make burritos or tacos. Quick simple and delicious!
This is a very fattening cake, we only eat it during the holidays and then only very small pieces. It is very rich.
These are one of our favorite Christmas cookies, do not substitute for butter, just doesn't work.
My daughter made this up after looking for a recipe like one she saw with roasted beets. This was really good!
