batch cooking recipe for stir fry. Quick, easy no fuss meal. Great for batch cooking.
A healthier lower calorie version of Pad Thai. Possibilities are endless with this one.
My own twist to "Hungry Girls" low calorie alfredo. Using super low calorie tofu noodles, lots of veggies, laughing cow cheese and sour cream this tastes just like alfredo with out the calories. This makes about 4 servings great for a family meal or for batch cooking. The great thing about this recipe is its modification possiblities are endless!
my own spin on a popular recipe, altered to be low sodium, low fat, and lower calorie.
experimenting in my kitchen. Came up with this variation of black bean chili from "I can't believe its not fattening" cookbook. A tasty high fiber high protein meal solution. Don't let the sodium content scare you, rinsing the canned items can help reduce it--and there are also low sodium options you could substitute too. For example I didn't purchase it this time, but there is an organic canned black bean that is very low in sodium.
I was looking for a solution to the high sodium stir fry sauce so I started experimenting. This doesn't have a whole lot of flavor but its enough to give the dish a little bit of a zing. I combined the sauce with veggies, chicken, & shitake noodles (not included)
this is a very flavorful dip, great for crudite plates! Far healthier than the traditional ranch dips. Delicious!
Very large portion of *healthier turkey meatloaf. Best served with steamed veggies. Great for large family or big dinner for a lot of people, or for a lot of left overs.
my favorite holiday treat -- not healthy but splenda sugars, egg whites, and fat free cream cheese can be used to decrease calories. Recipe calls to make 12 whoopie pies, but I prefer making a larger batch of small frosted cookies.
my own solution to pasta sauce in jars. This is a low sodium version. Serve over wheat pasta - not included in nutritional info.
I have been trying to find a low sodium bbq sauce but have been unsuccessful finding any in the local stores, so I decided to create my own. This recipe is my own take on a recipe from recipezarr.com - you could use splenda brown sugar and whatever spices you like (will alter nutritional information). I will continue to play with this recipe, it was very good (sweet with a little tang) and has a lot of potential to be even better.
Super easy and FAST! I just threw this together using what I had at home. This is a nice low cal low fat high fiber chili, with heat. It's good served with Low Fat Shredded Cheese & Sour Cream & some corn bread (not included in nutritional information).
This is a simple yet tasty way to prepare salmon. It can be served with any side dish, though I like to serve it with steamed broccoli with a squeeze of lemon.
This chicken salad is tasty, and has a bit of sweetness with it. I like it served on a whole wheat tortilla with some lettuce and tomato. Great for lunches! Great when you have some left over chicken.
