Recipes I've Shared:
This recipe is from Stacymakecents and if you have not looked at some of her recipes you should. She is awesome! I used truvia from my sweetener, but use whatever you have on hand.
Again, maybe not the healthiest, but it does not have all the preservatives the store bought cookies do. My mission is to teach my children the enjoyment of cooking over buying prepacked.
Although to some not the healthiest or lowest in fat, this was not the reason I decided to make homemade bread. No its not wheat but it does not have all the chemicals shelf bread has in them. I wanted to try to do as much whole non-preservative food for my family. Every time I have made this bread it turns out perfect and for me that is amazing!
A quick easy summer tropical salad! I had turkey breast strips, but you could use pork or chicken. Add whatever you like to your salad! Remember this is only one serving you could double or triple the spices to feed the family.
A great low-fat breakfast cookie. Grab and go!
A great recipe from The Fresh Loaf!
Not exactly healthy, but easy and delicious. I say everything in moderation. This is something I would eat for desserts any time. Put with any fresh fruit you enjoy or is in season.
I took this from a Wal-Mart add. I love this recipe and it is low in fat and tastes great. The recipe called for fat free milk but I only had one percent. You can also use any type of fruit you have or like!
Throw everything in a pot and forget about it good.
I found a box of granola cereal at my discount grocery store. However, I found different granola cereal with the same texture at the supermarket. I have also made these using granola and fresh berries. So do not worry if you can find the granola cereal. You just need to get creative.
Pancakes can be made so many different ways. This is just one version. You can use any flavor coffee creamer and add any fruit. This is a blue print for you to have fun and enjoy all the fruits of summer and eat healthy. Also to make this even faster use your favorite pancake mix from the store and use half the liquid and the other half your favorite flavor creamer.
I found a recipe similar in a cookbook, but I changed a few things and made it a low calorie and low fat enjoyable Thanksgiving or anytime dessert. The best part no measuring! They are all individual servings.
My kids love pizza, and so do I. However, I did not like the fact that it was loaded in fat and wasted calories. I found a compromise that my kids loved. Since my kids do not like veggies, I use a sauce which is a serving of veggies for every fourth of a cup.
Who said you cannot have a dessert just because you were watching your waistline. Here you go chocolate lovers!
