Recipes I've Shared:
This is a snack that I hae in between meals some days. I actually use white chocolate chips, not chocolate. You can adjust the amounts for each ingredient as you like.
This is so good! I try not to use mayonnaise in recipes because of the fat and this gives a little sweetness. I also use Dijon mustard.
I had this today in a place I have never gone to. The only thing different is the dressing. They made their own. But this dressing is very similar in taste - a little less sweet, but really good.
This is good for a hearty breakfast. Similar to Malt O Meal. You can chill this overnight and slice and fry the next morning.
Lots of fiber and low fat and low sodium. Serve over rice and with hot cornbread.
I never make this the same way twice...but I never have much left over either. It is simple and easy. No frills, if you please.
I was experimenting with this...still am. But it is a good after school treat for the kids. not too sweet and low fat. Good for them as well as tastes good.
I just made this for the first time today for a ladies group and everyone wanted the recipe. It is so good! It's light and moist with great flavor.
I rarely fry anything. But sometimes I just have to have some catfish. And this is the best way to eat good catfish...And if you can get this particular seasoned fish fry, then you are fortunate because I think it can't be beat.
I have this served over half cup of rice as a side dish. It is good all by itself though.
I love gumbo! This is a simple recipe I make for our family. I add to it sometimes with shrimp, okra, crabmeat, etc. Whatever I feel like. Serve over rice and have a salad with it.
This is so easy to make. It makes getting that fruit in every day so much easier. You can add coconut to this if you like. Or pecans instead of the walnuts.
This is so good! I love to make it a day ahead so that all the flavors blend together. I make bruschetta to go with it and everyone always comes back for more.
I like burgers, but the ones at fast food places are too full of sodium. I like mine cooked on the grill - it just tastes better.
This is a low sodium dirty rice that I make with beef instead of turkey. It's the bay leaf that makes the taste. I use whole leaves and remove them just before serving.
This is soooo good. And it is easy to make. It is filling and low fat, low salt. You can add whatever vegetables you like or add some chicken or beef if you like. Have this with cornbread or biscuits.
I love Mexican food but there is the salt issue. Canned enchilada sauce has a gazillion mg. of sodium. So I use a corn tortilla (taste better to me) and just 3 tbs. of canned sauce. I now have a recipe for the sauce. Will make a new recipe then. This is good in a pinch.
I love enchiladas...but.there is too much salt in the canned sauce. You can add 1 teaspoon of salt to this or to your taste. This makes three cups.
I love liver! It is great with smothered, sliced red potatoes, grits, or mashed potatoes. Add some green beans and you're all set.
Just a small salad with some crunch and sweetness from the apple. All good for you stuff. Top with your favorite dressing. Mine is Newman's Own Light Raspberry and Walnut Vinaigrette.
This makes a thin, crispy crust that is low fat, low calorie and so good. No heavy sauce to block all the flavor of the veggies and chicken.
This is something I learned at Weight Watcher's a very long time ago. It tastes just like an ice cream sandwich and so many less calories!
I like simple foods and this fits the bill. It's light and has lots of flavor.
This is a full meal. Just add a salad and french bread and you're ready to enjoy.
My grandkids LOVE this. And one of them hates veggies! It is so good..hot cold or in between. Great for breakfast or a snack.
I love this recipe. It is just right for a hearty, quick meal. Just add some cornbread or french bread and a salad.
I love chili, but not all the salt and fat. This is low is salt and fat. And it really is good!
