As ground turkey is on sale this week I can stretch the recipie from the back fo the seasoning packet to feed 10 people turkey chili instead of beef chili for four.
I don't like sweetened condensed milk so made up my own concoction for Independence Day this year.
This recipe has a lot of peppers in it to stretch the meat and add vegetables to the meal. I suppose it could be considered to be low-carb too.
sourcream makes this zestier, next time I need to add vinegar or something too though

I took the Low Sodium Vegetarian White Bean Chili from the menu planner and mixed it up a bit with different beans.
Upped the bulk and the fiber by adding chickpeas. We serve these on 100% wheat dinner rolls to make little healthy sloppy joe sliders.
This is comfort food that is manageable in the diet in moderation. We eat it about twice a year.
