My favorite recipe for stewed tomatoes. This recipe is for canning, hence the large number of servings.
This is my go-to recipe for canning tomato sauce. It's quite versatile - I can use it in chili, for spaghetti, wherever I need a flavorful tomato sauce!
My Grandma would make this all the time when I would go over for dinner. I've listed the recipe as originally made, and since it's from her book from the 60s, it's not super low-cal. I'm sure with adjustments like turkey bacon and greek yogurt or fat-free sour cream it could be!
