An easy cabbage soup recipe that my mother made throughout my childhood... The shredded cabbage and carrot can be replaced easily with two packages of pre-shredded cole slaw makings.
A simple soup, tasty and low fat too! Even my kids will eat their greens this way :o). You can eat a lot for very little calories and fat, but lots of great nutrition!
My friend hates all things healthy, dubbing them "hippy", thus this gets it's name. Turkey can be omitted, but adds a great deal of flavor so I don't recommend it. SOOO much good-for-you stuff in here, and tastes awesome!
A bistro style sandwich with a lot of flavor but not too many calories. A serving size of this, half pita stuffed, is so filling you'd likely not need anything on the side! Well, it does go well with a good garlicy pickle or some tasty fresh fruit :o). One sandwich has less than 300 calories, another plus!
