My take on Jamie Eastons Pumpkin protein bars...
My favorite mix.
I eat this almost everyday!! The listed ingredients are what I generally put in but you can add or take out what you like.
super easy to make and great for a grab and go meal
I will sometimes add 1/4 cup oats to my serving and let it sit a little. Very yummy.
My favorite "bread"
I loved this but wanted to see how it would taste with more egg whites. Tastes great.
I had a craving for something really gooey but with out all the sugar. Bonus, all the protein!! This is what I came up with, with what I had in the house.
Very Very rich. We love it as a dip for strawberries or banana's
Very filling and oh so yummy!!
this is a great pre workout meal (i eat about an hour before)
This dish can be made the night before and then put in the oven 30 min before serving.
This is from Belly Fat cure. Higher in fat than I would like but any other creamer has sugar. I am going to reduce the amount of cream next time and see if it tastes just as good with less fat. But on a side note... it sure did fill me up.
I LOVE this!! I use it for my salads or for a marinade for chicken or fish. You and incress any of the ingredients to fit your tastes.
This makes 13 1/2 cup servings
This is a modified version of Power Oatmeal Pancakes. It's what I had on hand.
This is from a fellow sparkspeople, I just modified it and needed to see where I was calorie wise.
This taste so yummy, I can only make one serving at a time otherwise I might eat to much. I sometimes add chopped almonds.
This dressing works great over white fish, chicken and pork. sprinke with chopped pinapple and as my sister in law said " there is a whole lot of wonderful going on in my mouth".
(good as a dip for tortilla chips too).
I normally use egg whites but I forgot so I wanted to find out the calories with whole eggs
(no tuna was harmed in the making of this dish)
This is a modified version of Jennifer Cornbleet's No tuna Pate.
I started making Eggplant parm but then looked at the wrong recipe and it turned into lasanga. It was a hit (except my meatatrian husband said use "real" ground meat next time)
From the regarged book. Makes 12-15 bars depending on how large you cut them. Calories set at 12 serving
16 servings 3/4 cup servings (tortilla strips are not included in the calorie count)
This is a family favorite.
I had picked up Trader Joe's cucumber Wonton rolls cause they looked so yummy but then didn't really know what to do with them. This is what I had on hand and came up with. My husband and boys (6 and 8) loved it!!
You could omit the chicken and use veg broth to make this vegetarian.
My husband loves red beans and rice but I just couldn't feed them that much sodium so I came up with this family favorite instead.
This could be used for breakfast ( I add Flax Seed, Bee Pollen and either slivered almonds, pecans or walnuts an hour before heading to the gym). Or add some fruit and have for a desert or to satisfy mid-day sweet craving. (my kids like to add carbo chips).
Had left overs from Easter Ham and made this. Turned out really good. You can add more liquid for thinner soup or leave as is for thicker soup.
I was not sure what to call this but I took the basic idea from Clean Eating recipe and added/took away some things. It turned out so yummy.
You can find Tomatillo's at your local grocery or the Mexican market (much cheaper than local grocery store).
I couldn't bring myself to use 2/3 cup butter so I used applesauce. Now if I could just do something about the amount of sugar they put in this mix!
I found this recipe here but the nutritional info was really off so I re-entered it to see what it would be for 4.5 people. So kudo's goes to SHAWNRN who first posted this.
I had a taste for some chocolate chip cookies but wanted to make them some what better for you. So I took a box of Dr. Oetkers Organic choc chip cookie mix and substituted greek yogurt for the butter, added protien, fiber, flax and pecans. My 7 and 5 yr old LOVE these.
This is from Eat, Drink and Be Vegan. LOVE this cook book.
The nutritional info is for 12 Tbls or 1 cup. I didn't use all of it on my pasta and it makes for a great sandwich spread or pizza sauce.
This makes 18-20 enchilada's.
This has a hummus texture. Great with Pita chips, tortilla chips or on sandwich. Super yummy.
I add Greek yogurt instead of butter or oil to many muffin/cookies or brownie recipes.
If you don't like eating your veggies this is the soup for you!
I made this for the Cabbage soup diet but now just make it cause it tastes so yummy and makes so much. It last me all week.
I love these cookies cause you can add or take away the "optional" stuff to fit your tastes. And you can use any kind of flake kind of cereal. I have used Raisin Bran and Honey bunches of oats (which is a favorite with my family).
Very filling. Add a cooked veggie burger for protein or chicken.
Makes 4+ servings
