This works as a great pick-me-up after a long night, or after a hard workout. Don't let the look of it fool you, it's actually pretty sweet thanks to the cinnamon and honey.
This is a recipe we keep around for hot days when we don't feel like cooking. I had a hard time converting to this site's mesurements so the nutrition information might be off a bit. The lime juice is a great accent to the other ingredients. I use a bit more than suggested, it gives it a very refreshing taste and smell. Sometimes we top with cilantro to kick up the flavor and presentation a bit.
I woke up craving quiche and had some left over kale, olives and sunflower seeds.
I would have used regular milk but we were out. The soy milk isn't bad, it just gives the quiche a more spongy texture.
Oh and the crust doesn't need to be rolled!
This is a simple creamy soup. I also add a few leaves of fresh oregano for taste.
I threw this together to get rid of some leftovers. The squash's texture imitates coconut. If you want a sweeter pie, you can increase the regular sugar to 1/2 c. I like to use margarine for the crust because it's easier to work with but butter is best in the pie itself for the taste.
My vegetarian ( or vegan) version of Jambalaya. I'm easy on the heat but you can add more cayenne pepper and some Tabasco to taste. If you want the recipe more soup-like, you will probably want to add more water.
I threw this together with some leftovers and a squash I got at the apple orchard. It's very filling and warms you right up!
Based on Emeril's recipe but with some of my own modifications, mostly based on what I keep in the house and personal preference.
I have a lot of digestive problems. I've tried different things to remedy it and one day I stumbled upon a website dedicated to Aryuvedic Medicine. I read up on the body types and discovered I was a Vata type. This is loosely based on the dietary recommendations from that website. I'm lactose intolerant so this is a nice substitute for yogurt.
This was just the right amount of spicy and sweet. I let it sit at least overnight and the chicken comes out oh so tender! I got this from Cooking Pleasures magazine.
I got this recipe from the Cooking club Magazine. I didn't have the lemon-pepper salt seasoning so I just mixed 1 tsp salt with some pepper and then threw in some lemon juice. I think the effect was a little fresher.
