This is a recipe that came with my little bakery machine, but I tweaked it to make it healthier. I cut the sugar to half of the original and subbed applesauce for the oil. I also used half whole wheat. Next time I might cut the spices a bit.
Just made this up, wanted something different as a veggie
I have tweaked another recipe I found online. YUM! They are cake-like, but tasty!
I tweaked a recipe that had nearly a tablespoon of butter per cookie... and ended up with these fellows.
An old recipe, my grandma used to make it all the time. I changed out the oil for applesauce and it's perfect.
This is a twist on my mom's old pickled cukes & onions recipe that I created for the 4th. It was made completely with local produce.
This is basically my mom's oatmeal recipe, with ratios figured it out. It is not boiled to snot.
I took this recipe from the German food website: http://www.essen-und-trinken.d
e/rezept/6732.
I accidentally found it on youtube and it looked easy... so I translated it... and had to make a few substitutions... cottage cheese for German Quark and instant vanilla pudding for the German baking pudding.
Found a recipe yesterday for sweet dutch babies... and this is my further creative twist. Oh my gosh is it good!
This is my mother's recipe... it is the ONLY chicken & dumplings in the opinion of my immediate family.
I have also taken it to potlucks and there is never any left. One of my coworkers even deemed it "perfect".
This is a new variation of my other waffle recipe. This one is a little more savory but especially nummy with butter and maple syrup.
I like to do a double batch and then freeze them to be microwaved or toastered later in the week.
I altered a cookbook cupcake recipe and came up with these nearly fat free tasties!!
I altered a yellow cake recipe and cut out the fat and cholesterol by subbing in applesauce and yogurt for the eggs. I also cut the sugar in half.
I found this on the web and altered it a little. I hope it tastes as good as it sounds.
I cogitated on this recipe for about a week.. I love creamy soups but have avoided them religiously for nearly a year... and I WANTED clam chowder... so I figured the best defense was to make up my own recipe... it was an instant hit!
I was playing around on the George Foreman grill today and this is what I concocted!
Subbed in sunflower seeds for the quinoa and forgot to put in the flaxseed, so the texture isn't as "together" and the fiber and protein are way down.
I am working on my granola recipe. This one has quinoa and fiber one and egg. I'm trying to increase the protein and fiber content. The egg is to get it to glom together better.
I created this recipe by tweaking an old favorite pancake recipe. These are much better than the old version.
I adopted this from a recipe in Joy of Cooking. I made several changes and the family was so happy I don't think I'd do a thing different!
I subbed skim milk for buttermilk, applesauce for oil, and flaxseed for wheat bran.
This is my first attempt at granola bars, recipe adapted from one I found on recipezaar.
A little crumbly but quite tasty, will keep working on it.
