Recipes I've Shared:
I saw this recipe on a cooking show, this is the recipe almost exactly as it was made on TV using the ingredients I had on hand. I am sure it can be modified to lower the calories even more, by adding dried fruit to increase the number of servings
I got this recipe out of Woman's World mag. It's part of a detox diet they had, but it sounded so good I thought it would be good any time.
my ice cream for evening snack, when everyone else is having the real thing. Any frozen fruit could be used.
Got this out of the Happy Girl 300 recipes under 300 calories cookbook, modified one of the egg cup recipes.
My husband & father-in-law love lasagna, but both are diabetic. I was looking for a way to give them a food they love with more good for you carbs. Freezes well, if you have vegetable from your garden to use up
I make this as part of my low-carb diet. I have frozen them when I had an over abundance of zucchini & summer squash from my garden
I modified a recipe a got off the FoodNetwork. The recipe said to bake or broil in the oven, I grilled mine. My husband hates all fish, unless it's deep fried. He enjoyed this fish.
Modified this recipe from cooking show I saw to make is lower in fat and calories. Use vegetables that you enjoy in your omlette
Modified another recipe I saw on Sparkpeople and turn it into a quick one pot dinner. change the vegetables to suit your likes and dislikes
Was looking for a lighter version of Potato Pancakes. This is exactly the way the recipe is written, but with a few modification, to suit yourself, it can be lightened up.
We make these potatoes all the time as a side dish, when cooking on the grill. But I recentily tried this cooked in a cast iron skillet on top of the stove, they were good as well. Use the Veggies your family will enjoy, it's great with a wide variety of Veggies.
Got this recipe out of "Taste Of Home". There are several items that could be substituted to reduce the calories, if you wanted to.
I came up with this recipe to help use up ham after a holiday. Can be divided & frozen to be used for a future dinner(s). As there is only my Husband & I at home, I divide this into several meals & freeze the extra for future use.
From "The Barefoot Contessa Cookbook"
Created this as a treat for Hubby & I, since most pizza is not on our new diet. The grandchildren love these!
Hubby can't have all the salt in store bought soup, created this fast to prep soup to give him what he wanted with out all the salt.
Found this recipe in a magizine I get monthly. Modified it to be lower in carbs to fit into my diet
Created this as a company dinner that helps me stay on my South Beach Diet
I was looking for something portable for breakfast, fast & easy to keep me out of the fast food places on a busy morning. Found this in the "Sugar Solutions" diet book.
