This tasty dish is Moroccan inspired. The saffron and coriander bring an exotic flavor.
After walking the aisles of my local grocery store, Trader Joe's, and Whole Foods, and finding that every bacon and sausage contained some variety of sugar, nitrates, or nitrites, I have taken matters into my own hands. I've been working on my recipe for some time now, but this morning it seemed to turn out just right. I'm posting the recipe here for anyone who would like to try it. It is truly so much easier to control what you're eating when you make it yourself!
These muffins are delicious, especially on a cold fall or winter morning. Substitute apple sauce for some of the oil to make it lower fat.
This was my son's first dish he selected for cooking class. It turned out delicious! We adapted the recipe to our liking and added broccoli as a side dish. Everyone loved it!

This dish is delicious! It's a great substitute for chili on a cool fall or winter day. You can substitute another brand of egg noodles if you prefer, but the german noodles are best, I think.
