A moist yummy whole wheat bread that is quick and easy to make and rises in the oven too.
These protein bars are very basic. You can add additional protein and reduce dry milk or oats to achieve a higher protein to carb ratio if needed. I just kept this one basic using 1/4 cups, 1/2 cups and full cup measurements
This is an earthy, moist, cakie quick bread with a rich brown crust, crunchy edges and a slightly gritty bite. For the ultimate experience, use stone-ground flour and a heated heavy pan to supply the required crustiness. You can reduce the cereal to 1/2 cup and add 1/2 cup stone-ground corn meal for a more gritty bite.
2T Oil
3T Honey
1t Salt
1-1/3C Water
3C Whole Wheat Flour
1t Dough Enhancer
2t Yeast
5T Vital Wheat Gluten
Low Fat Protein Pancakes with oats for some added carbs. Try without the banana and oats if you want pure protein. It's actually pretty good.
