i saw something similar to this on popsugar. they used agave syrup instead of honey to make it vegan
fun beverage that can be used as a substitute for soda or other sugary drinks
i had this years ago at a wedding and it was so good.
this was the first "green" smoothie i ever made. i just took a simple recipe switched to plain yogurt (less sugar, makes it creamy) the rich berry color makes it not look to green, but you can see need little specks.
simple desert or breakfast, low in sugar and about 20 g protein and a good amout of fiber. this is vegetarian but not vegan
the meat can be omitted for a vegetarian dish. i add black beans when i make it veggie
I use this as a way to get rid of extra apples. i had some frozen cherries to use up also so i tossed them in.
My husband does not like stuffing so i make it only for myself. i never made it from scratch, but this trick works for me.
This is a simple desert. Kids love it. You can make it with non fat milk or low fat oreos to limit the calories.
I use low fat cream cheese and sour cream. The nonfat versions get to liquidy. low fat was a better consistancy.
This recipe is open to whatever you want to add. Rice or Bulger can be used instad of barley. Low sodium broth/ bullion also work.
