This recipe uses leftover homemade bread. You can make your own or use frozen dough. To lower calories, use whole wheat loaf bread
This is a Biggest Loser Six Weeks To A Healthier You recipe. I adjusted for our taste by switching from almond milk, frozen peaches and artificial sweetener to homemade peach preserves and skim milk.
These make a great quick dinner or an easy appetizer. Top with whatever toppings you prefer and add the toppings separately in your tracker. You could also reduce fat and calories by using ff cheese, but my family doesn't care for the way it melts or tastes.
Hawaiian Sweet Bread makes this french toast really light and fluffy. The slices are big so one slice is plenty. The calorie content is based on one full slice being a serving, but I cut the slices in half to make them easier to dip in the egg mixture.
This is from the Biggest Loser 30-Day Jump Start Book but the recipe has been adjusted down from 6 servings to 3.
