Honey Crust Pizza Dough

My family loves pizza. What we don't love are the unnecessary calories and costs of huge delivery pizzas. This recipe makes enough dough for two larges pizzas and can be made by hand or using the dough option on a bread maker. It makes a tasty stretchy dough and a thin crust. You can vary the sweetener by using molasses or sugar but that does change the calorie count. Try using molasses and whole wheat flour for a denser, chewy crust. But don't opt out of the olive oil! Friends tell me that makes the pizza taste more like restaurant varieties!

Oriental Pizza

My daughter had a similar pizza at a restaurant. It's not very cheesy but tangy. Although I use my own homemade pizza dough recipe for the crust in this photo, I used the Boboli Pizza Crust as a basic crust for the recipe so it could be a more standardized serving.

I think this would be very tasty with vegetables like kale or spinach, carrots, etc. Give it a try!

Creamy chocolate spread

Simple cream spread for pretzels or fruit.

Bread machine Pumpkin Bread

This is much more like a loaf of regular bread or perhaps raisin bread than the traditional pumpkin bread. It is very good toasted.

Oatmeal Scones

Easy oatmeal scones. I prefer no fruit but you could add in raisins or blueberries. The nutritional information does not include those, however.

Penne pasta with spinach and asiago cheese

This is a quick supper. I came up with when I had way too much purchased (bagged) spinach on my hands. You could add a cooked, diced chicken breast to the mix if you choose.

Apple Cinnamon Pancakes

These tasty pancakes make a quick, low fat dinner.
