I just love the gingerbread lattes at Starbucks. Every time I ordered one I would feel so guilty because I knew it wasn't the best thing for my waistline. So I wanted to come up with a "better for me" version so I could enjoy the taste and not feel guilty.
I don't have a latte machine so this recipe I use 1 cup of cup of coffee. If you have a machine you can just make the syrup and add it to your latte. Enjoy!

I use this as a pizza sauce alone and as my base to several of my pasta sauces. This recipe makes 5 - 1/4 cup servings.
I also double the recipe and freeze into 1/4 servings sizes for quick meals when I don't have the time to make from scratch.

I don't feel sour cream deprived with this recipe. I use it on baked potatoes, scrambled eggs/omelettes, all my favorite mexican dishes, as salad dressing and as a dip for my home made tortilla chips and vegetables. I love it!

You can purchase Oat Flour at any health food store. I make my own by grinding whole oats in a food processor.
You can also cut the Sodium down by using a lower sodium sauce.

This is the smoothie I drink to get my antioxidant fill. It's yummy, filling, easy to make and good for me. Sometimes I cut half the banana out because bananas are high in calories. It still taste great. I also add ground flax seed to my smoothie to make it healthier. Enjoy!

You can make this recipe even healthier by replacing the reduced fat Mexican 4 blend shredded cheese with soy cheese. There are several brands on the market that are fabulous. It will take a little longer to melt so adjust the time accordingly.
