If you like jalapenos, you may enjoy this dish. There are lots of ways you can vary the ingredients and you can increase the "heat' of the soup by leaving the seeds in, adding more jalapenos or other peppers or sauces.
I cooked a recipe this evening for a family get together on the weekend, including our Granddaughter(age 12 months). For this recipe, I cooked everything, minus the jalapenos and crushed garlic. Pulled off a pint for her, added the jalapenos, crushed garlic and finished cooking.
The recipe makes about 4.5 quarts or 18 cups/servings. No salt was added.
A good way to kick start the day or as a dessert.
