I use King Arthur Flour whose nutrition information seems a lot better than the default flour in the Spark People database to calculate. It is in my opinion the best baking flour as well. This makes 2 loafs, calculated as 18 slices per loaf which is just over a 1 oz slice.
In all of my recipes I used reduced sodium products including the tomato paste and chicken broth. If you can not find everything with reduced or no salt added the sodium content will be higher. I also use plain yogurt as I do not like sour cream.
This is a variation of a recipe I found made to cut out the high sodium that was in the original and more to my taste. I will be trying this tonight.
A family favorite since I was a little girl.
I do not know where these originally came from, but my family has been making them since I was a little girl. They are not sugar-free or low in fat but taken in small amounts I find it does not kill me on calories and it is after all the holidays.
